Growing Disciples of Jesus who sacrifice, serve and speak for the sake of others.
Our Aim
We're committed to growing disciples of Jesus who sacrifice, serve and speak for the sake of others to grow the gospel and to grow the church and this commitment flows into rockypcYOUTH.
We want to help families grow as disciples together by teaching in an age appropriate way and by using material that follows the sermon series in church.
Our Staff
All our rockypc YOUTH team members are volunteers from our rockypc congregations who have received PresSafe and rockypc YOUTH leader training. It is also a requirement that our team obtain a Working With Children Blue Card.
Our rockypc YOUTH team leader is Matt Stewart, so if you've got any questions, feel free to talk to him on a Sunday.
How rockypc YOUTH Runs
rockypc YOUTH caters for teenagers from grade 6 to 12.
We meet each Sunday of the school term from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.
A typical afternoon includes flexible hang time before gathering to hear a short Bible talk and breaking up into small groups to discuss the Bible passage together. The afternoon also include food and other activites.
Usually the teenagers will be learning from the same Bible passage as the adults so that we are learning as families.
We want to support parents as the primary Bible teachers for their teenagers.
We also run CQ LAUNCH camp in the Easter school holidays which is a leadership camp for Grades 10 - 12,
and CQ AlIVE camp in the September school holidays for all grades.
